How do you pronounce the name of your company?

Abiegnus is commonly pronounced ah-bee-AIG-nus, and it's the name of the Rosicrucian Mountain of Initiation. We named our publishing company Abiegnus House as a statement of our intent that the books we publish are meant to serve as initiatory gateways and guides for our readers. We are dedicated to providing resources for seekers who are exploring a variety of spiritual paths as

well as for those who have chosen a specific path and wish to delve more deeply into its unique history and practices.

Is Isis Magic available on Amazon?

No, we are sorry to say that the conditions for selling on that retail behemoth are not viable for a very small press like Abiegnus House. However, lucky you! You are already here where the book can be purchased directly from its publisher for the same price as always—$29.95 USD plus shipping. If you have looked on amazon, you may have seen absurd prices from scalpers and speculators who hope to deceive buyers who don’t know there is any other way to buy a book than on amazon :-).

Is there an e-book version of Isis Magic?

No, there isn’t. We at Abiegnus House are Hermetic by nature, and find something just plain magical about a physical book—its tangible, talismanic presence in the world, the design and typography that most e-book platforms don't yet fully support, even the paper and ink of a physical book that connect our senses with a reading experience stretching back to the papyrus roll and scribal calligraphy of pharaonic Egypt.

However, we also know that some readers are coming to prefer electronic books, and—as we hold a due Hermetic veneration for all readers—at some point we may well produce an e-book version of Isis Magic, but there are no plans to do so in the immediate future.

What are my payment options?

At present, all online payments are made via PayPal. We hope to add other “payments gateways” (as magicians, we try to use the correct barbarous names) in the future, but for now, it’s PayPal. Please know that you do not have to have a PayPal account in order to use the PayPal interface. You may pay using any of these credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover. You may also pay through your existing PayPal account or a PayPal credit card.

If you do not wish to pay via PayPal, Abiegnus House will gladly accept your personal check drawn on a US bank. Please contact us with your request to pay by check and include your shipping address. We will contact you with the total charges, including shipping. Once we receive your check and it clears our bank, we will be pleased to ship the book(s) to you.

At present, no sales taxes are charged, as Abiegnus House is headquartered in beautiful, green Oregon, a no-sales-tax US state. This is of course subject to the whims of US and Oregon laws.

What are your shipping terms?

Orders usually ship within 2 business days, unless we are celebrating the festival of one of our house Goddesses or Gods, in which case we beg you to forgive the delay. The information below will help you estimate when to expect arrival of your books.

US Domestic Shipping

We recommend our standard Economy shipping. We think you’ll be surprised at how quickly your book/s arrive. Economy shipping charges (based on 2.5 lb. book) are $4.50 for the first book and $1.50 for each additional book. If you really must have it as soon as possible, please choose Priority shipping. All orders shipped to US domestic (US States, Territories, and Armed Forces AA, AE, and AP) addresses include US Post Office tracking.

Orders Outside the US

In addition to the US, we are currently shipping to addresses in the following countries: 

We are sorry, but we do not ship to any other countries at present, though we hope to add more in the future.

Book orders to all locations outside the United States are shipped via USPS Priority Mail International.

Delivery times are not guaranteed and depend on your location and the shipping service.

As you know, your country may charge import duties and taxes on your purchase, which are your responsibiilty, and we’re sure you’re used to dealing with them. Abiegnus House has no control over such charges, and policies vary. If you have any questions, please contact your local customs office.

What is your privacy policy?

As always esoteric and often occult publishers, we understand secrecy; we also understand privacy. So please be assured that we do not collect any of your personal information on this website, except for the email and shipping information you provide to us in order to communicate with you and ship your books to you. We absolutely will not sell your information to any third party.

In order to process your payment, PayPal of course does collect your payment information on their state-of-the-art secure servers. We never have access to your credit card or bank information; that remains entirely in PayPal’s hands. You can read PayPal’s full privacy policy here. 

In addition to PayPal, you may find links to other sites on this website. As we’re sure you know, when you click on those links, you will be leaving our site and the privacy policies of the site to which you have been magically transported by the ones and zeros of the internet apply.

Are you currently accepting book proposals or manuscript submissions?

No, we aren’t. Abiegnus House is a small publishing company, and we already have all the book projects in the planning stages that we need to carry us through the next couple of years. When we decide that the time has come to consider accepting book proposals, we will post that information here, on our news blog, and on our Facebook page.

Are you currently hiring, or are you accepting interns? 

Alas, we’re not. Abiegnus House is a small publishing house, and for the foreseeable future, we will remain a family business.
